Victor is an company director & advisor, barrister and regulatory affairs advocate . 

Victor is an Independent Director on the Boards of the
Transport Accident Commission (TAC) and the Bensons Property Group.   He is the Director of the new regulatory affairs practice, A Regulatory Affair and an adviser to MCS Digital.  His advisory work focuses on corporate governance, corporate social responsibility, good regulation and regulatory compliance.  With a Diploma of Chinese Law from Peking University, he has expertise in the risks of doing business in China. 

Victor has a strong background in technology issues.  He served as Shadow Minister for Technology & Innovation and was the first Australian MP with a web-site.  He chaired the Victorian Government's Multimedia Committee, Data Protection Advisory Council and the Electronic Commerce Framework Group.    Victor is the TAC Director on the Governing Committee of the new IT Shared Services venture of the TAC and
Workcover. He also has a strong interest in the environment and environmental sustainability having served as Shadow Minister for the Environment.

Victor's philanthropic work includes human rights advocacy, democracy movements and support for good governance.  For over ten years, he has published the
Australian Human Rights and Civil Rights Index.  He has recently joined the Steering Committee on Education and Training in Philanthropy of the Asia-Pacific Centre for Philanthropy and Social Investment. He is the Co-Chair of the Forum for a Democratic China.

22 May 2007: Victor appointed to the new IT Shared Services Joint Venture of the TAC and Workcover.

April 2007: Victor appointed to the TAC Marketing and Road Safety Committee (MARSCo).

31 March 2007: Victor Chaired the

10 March 2007: Victor will be a compere at the
Australia Tibet Council Commemoration of Tibet Uprising Day in Federation Square.

7 & 8 March 2007: Victor participated in the
Australia Unlimited Roundtable: Citizens Shaping the Future.  Victor took part in three of the working groups preparing for the Roundtable.

27 February 2007: Victor was appointed a Director of the
Transport Accident Commission.

GAP Congress on Wellness and Ageing - "Breaking the Barriers: The role of Government, Industry, Providers and Consumers",

February 2007: Victor joined the Steering committee on education and training in philanthropy of the

"I think now it will be a rare thing for a 20-year-old to say, 'I want to be a teacher until I am 65'," he says. "They see it as a death sentence." Jacinta Allan agrees. "I think we are seeing professionals in their 30s and 40s exercising the choice to move into different fields," she says.
